The FFA is one of the circles in the three circle model that is agricultural education. The three circle model of agriculture education also includes classroom/laboratory instruction and Supervised Agricultural Experiences. These three circles are represented in the FFA's Motto "Learning to do, Doing to learn, Earning to Live, and Living to Serve."
FFA is no longer "Just sows, cows, and plows." Agriculture Education strives to prepare students to be tomorrows leaders and meet challenges head on. FFA prepares students for careers in agriculture, business, science, technology, engineering and many more.
The AlWood FFA Chapter is located in Woodhull, IL just east of the Quad Cities. The FFA Chapter has 63 members and these members have the opportunity to participate in Section 3 and State Wide Events.
AlWood High School offers the following agriculture classes to its students:
